Workshops

Each family has its own dynamics and problem-solving skills. This training is designed to help families recognize the resources they already have and to strengthen communication within the family.

 

In this program, the basic principles of solution-focused short-term therapy, one of the postmodern approaches that adopts the constructivist view, are utilized.

 

The workshop is divided in 5 sessions and is organized for groups of 10-15 people. It can be conducted face-to-face or via online platforms.

 

The aims of the Workshop include:

·      Strengthening communication within the family.

·      Helping families gain the ability to solve problems encountered in developmental processes.

·      Being able to express their thoughts, feelings and needs effectively.

·      Assisting in reinforcing and increasing the motivation and confidence of families.

·      Ensuring that healthy family dynamics become functional.

 

Emotions are at the center of our lives. Our ability to recognize and manage our emotions not only affects the quality of our daily lives but also plays an important role in healthy relationships.

Basic Skills Aimed to be Improved

  • Recognizing emotions and understanding their role in our lives
  • Recognizing how we express our feelings and understanding the feelings of others
  • Developing emotion vocabulary
  • To be able to recognize and express one's own emotions
  • Accepting emotions without separating them as positive or negative
  • Recognizing the changes that emotions create in our body
  • Managing emotions and learning techniques for dealing with negative emotions

 

 

Eating is a physiological need and is necessary for us to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But sometimes our emotions can be the main trigger for eating behavior. At this point, we can talk about the concept of emotional eating. In the workshop, we can learn how emotional eating relates to stress and self-confidence.

 

The workshop is divided into 4 sessions and is organized for groups of 10-15 people. It can be carried out face-to-face or via online platforms.

 

The Workshop aims to:

·      Recognize, explore and regulate emotions, which form the essential components of emotional eating.

·      Explore the relationship between emotional eating and stress.

·      Recognize the relationship between self-confidence and emotional eating.

 

When anxiety is present within healthy limits, it makes it easier to organize our daily lives. Anxiety is an evolutionary mechanism to protect us from danger. It is a precautionary measure. However, if anxiety goes beyond normal limits, daily life may become hard, and the person's functionality may deteriorate. This workshop focuses on the skills of recognizing and managing anxiety effectively.

 

The workshop is divided into 3 sessions and is organized for groups of 10-15 people. It can be held face-to-face or via online platforms.

 

Program Outcomes:

·      To make individuals realize how anxiety affects them.

·      Understanding the impact of anxiety on eating and sleeping patterns, home, work, school life, relationships, and self-image.

·      Recognizing functional and non-functional aspects of anxiety.

·      Enabling participants to understand positive and negative coping methods and to develop appropriate coping strategies.

Self-confidence is the key to knowing ourselves, recognizing our strengths and weaknesses, and accepting ourselves with our positive and negative qualities. It also makes it easier for us to feel confident and take the right steps when expressing ourselves in social life. However, some cognitive distortions and negative self-perceptions can hinder this skill. With this workshop, it is aimed to increase self-confidence by identifying the cognitive distortions and negative thoughts that may exist in an individual.

The aims of the Workshop are:

·      Realizing what self-confidence is and why it is important.

·      Recognizing and managing factors affecting self-confidence.

·      Understanding the relationship between thought, emotion, and behavior.

·      Recognizing the relationship between self-confidence and concepts such as self-perception, environment, self-evaluation, optimism, forgiveness, courage, and experience.

·      Recognize the effects of cognitive distortions and negative self-perception.
