Cooperation Protocol Signed Between IPAM and Istanbul Humanitarian Aid Association (IIYD)
IPAM and the Istanbul Humanitarian Aid Association (IIYD) have signed a cooperation protocol to support community mental health through joint academic and field-based initiatives. The partnership focuses on developing sustainable responses, particularly in disaster- and crisis-affected contexts.

A cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening community mental health has been signed between the Ibn Haldun University Center for Psychotherapy Research (IPAM) and the Istanbul Humanitarian Aid Association (IIYD).

The protocol establishes a framework for joint psychosocial support initiatives, training activities, research efforts, and field-based practices in the area of community mental health. Particular emphasis is placed on regions affected by the earthquakes of February 6, 2023. Through this collaboration, IPAM and IIYD seek to combine academic expertise with field experience in order to develop sustainable and evidence-based practices.

Within the scope of the protocol, cooperation is planned in the following areas:

  • Development of psychosocial support and community mental health projects,
  • Provision of expert and volunteer support during disaster and crisis situations,
  • Organization of training programs, seminars, and workshops,
  • Support for joint project development initiatives at national and international levels,
  • Conduct of scientific research, preparation of publications, and organization of academic events.

Through this partnership, IPAM and IIYD aim to improve access to mental health services for disadvantaged groups, strengthen the integration of academic knowledge with field practice, and contribute to overall societal well-being.

As IPAM, we are pleased to contribute to humanitarian and community-based mental health efforts through meaningful institutional partnerships. We believe that this protocol will provide a strong foundation for impactful and long-term contributions to community mental health.
