Prof. Dr. Öztürk graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. In 1997, he completed his specialization training at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child Psychiatry and Diseases and became a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2000 and Professor in 2007. He continues to serve as the chairman of the Green Crescent. He is a lecturer at the Department of Psychology at Ibn Haldun University.
His books titled Child Psychiatry, School Phobia in 99 Pages, Children in Divorced Families and Impulsivity in Children have been published. He gives lectures and supervision to clinical psychology master's and doctoral students at Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM). He is married and the father of 3 daughters.
