Psychologist Ayşe Selin ZORLU




She was born in Istanbul. She graduated from Marmara University Psychology (English) undergraduate program with honors.

During her undergraduate education, in the 2016-2018 academic years, she participated in the internship and supervision group at the Social Psychiatry Service of Istanbul Çapa Medical Faculty, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Doğan Şahin. During her internship, she attended sessions as an observer in inpatient and outpatient services. In addition to the psychiatry ward, she was also an observer in Öget Öktem Tanör's sessions in the Clinical Neuropsychology department of the same hospital.

She did a summer internship in London during her third year of undergraduate education. She participated in research at the Experimental Psychology Laboratory at Queen Mary University of London. She has conducted research on providing better psychotherapy services to refugees and improving existing services, and joined the team that conducted meta-analysis studies on psychotherapy services provided over the phone.

In the last fall semester of her undergraduate degree, she studied at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands within the scope of the Erasmus education program. During her education in Groningen, she had the opportunity to take lessons from experts in his field.

After graduation, she was accepted as a visiting researcher at the University of Zurich Psychiatric Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. She has participated in the current research conducted by the university and joined the review team on the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. She participated in the sessions held in Turkish and English at the University and the Psychiatric Hospital as an observer and practitioner. She participated in weekly supervisions.

After returning to Turkey, she was accepted to the "Beck Oriented Cognitive Therapy and Clinical Skills Development Program" given by Dr. Emel Stroup within CBTiSTANBUL for 1 year. During her time as assistant to Dr. Emel Stroup, she successfully completed the "Cognitive Therapy Workshop Certificate Program". Throughout the program, she improved her clinical knowledge and skills by participating in the supervision and training provided by Dr. Emel Stroup.

In 2021, she was accepted to Ibn Haldun University Clinical Psychology Integrated Doctorate program with an academic success scholarship and is still continuing her doctoral education. During her doctoral studies, she works as a research and teaching assistant at the university.

In psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) techniques for trauma-focused approaches.

She is interested in the concept of 'Resilience', which she heard for the first time during his undergraduate internship, and conducts research and reading on trauma and psychological resilience.


She speaks advanced English, intermediate Arabic and German.
