Büşra Kavla graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in 2017. She completed the Clinical Psychology Master's Program at Ibn Haldun University in 2022 with her thesis titled "The Effect of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-Based Intervention on Emotional Eating Behavior in Adults". As part of her master's degree, she completed her 600-hour clinical internship at Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy and Research Center (IPAM). She continues her education at the thesis stage at Ibn Haldun University Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. Kavla, who also continues to see clients within IPAM as part of her doctoral internship, carries out her sessions with the supervision given by IPAM supervisors.
Therapy Trainings;
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): 16-hour "CBT-Oriented Clinical First Interview and Evaluation" training given in cooperation with Janus Psychology & Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association; "CBT Basic Level" training given by Prof. Dr. Hakan Türkçapar within the scope of Ibn Haldun University master's program; She completed the 30-hour "CBT Skill Acquisition and Supervision Application" training given in cooperation with the Janus Psychology & Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association. She is currently continuing her 120-hour CBT advanced theoretical training within the Association of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies.
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): She completed 42 hours of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy training and 50 hours of supervision training given by the Turkish Contextual Sciences and Psychotherapies Association (TÜRBAD) and Associate Professor Fatih Yavuz and his team.
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): She completed the 5 full-day "EMDR Level I Basic Training" and 2 full-day supervision trainings given by the Institute of Behavioral Sciences.
• Narrative Therapy: Completed 200 hours (5 modules) of theory modules given in collaboration with Dulwich Center & Poem.
