After receiving her undergraduate degree in 2012, she completed her first Master's degree at the University of Nottingham, Department of Psychology, with a full scholarship. Afterwards, she continued her doctoral studies at the Department of Psychology at the University of Leicester in England, and during this period, she worked as a part-time researcher in many projects at the Greenwood Institute of Child Health. She completed her second Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Ankara Social Sciences University and received the title of clinical psychologist.
After receiving her doctorate degree in 2019, she started working at Necmettin Erbakan University, Department of Psychology, the same year. She was appointed as a faculty member and served as the department head until 2021. She also served as the manager of the Psychological Support Unit established within the university between 2019-2022.
She conducts research in the fields of trauma and mental health especially among children and adolescents living in the developing countries and works on identifying their mental health needs and developing, implementing and evaluating intervention programs for them.
She also organizes skill development training for professionals working in these fields. The aim of the project called "World Awareness for Children in Trauma (WACIT)" is to raise awareness about child mental health and create a sustainable model to help children who have been exposed to trauma and/or live in adverse living conditions. Dr. Eruyar continues to work voluntarily as a professional consultant and trainer in this project.
Since 2023, she is countinuing working as a faculty member at Ibn Haldun University’s Clinical Psychology Department.
