Hailing from Kashmir, India, Yaqeen is currently pursuing his doctoral research while serving as a psychotherapist at IPAM. In addition, he runs "Inspire ME Global," a center dedicated to mental health and well-being based in Kashmir. Yaqeen's global reach extends through online programs, courses, seminars and an annual intensive summer internship program for aspiring psychologists in Kashmir. He also imparts mental health and well-being training workshops to diverse companies and organizations.

Yaqeen's academic journey commenced with a prestigious scholarship for his bachelor's studies in Malaysia. The mentorship of Prof Malik Badri ignited his profound interest in Islamic psychology. Subsequently, he secured a full scholarship through Turkiye Burslari for his Master's degree in Turkiye in 2016. Further enriching his expertise, he earned the Erasmus fellowship for research, culminating in his Master's thesis, "A Study of Resilience & Happiness among Syrian Refugee Children," completed at the University of Muenster, Germany, in 2019.

Continuing his scholarly pursuits, Yaqeen presently is a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at Ibn Haldun University, funded once again by the Turkiye Burslari. He trained in TIIP (Traditional Islamically Oriented Psychotherapy) under Dr. Hooman Keshavarzi who is also the supervisor of his doctoral research.

In his clinical practice, Yaqeen specializes in addressing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges including Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and Relationship issues, utilizing an experiential, client-centred, and strengths-based approach. He holds membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Yaqeen's commitment to fostering cross-cultural inter-faith dialogue and understanding is reflected in his roles as a fellow at ACWAY (A Common Word Among the Youth, UK) & Stanford AMENDS (American Middle Eastern Network for Dialogue at Stanford). He is also recognized as a published author and poet, fluent in English, Turkish, Urdu, Hindi, and Kashmiri.
