The Psychotherapy Practice and Research Center of İbn Haldun University (İPAM) attended the year-end meeting of guidance counselors organized by the Başakşehir District Directorate of National Education on June 11, 2025.
The meeting, which was attended by approximately 240 guidance counselors working in both private and public schools in Başakşehir, began with opening speeches by the District Director of National Education Ahmet Coşkun and the Guidance and Research Center Director Ahmet Sayan.
During the meeting, topics such as the improvement of guidance services, the creation of guidance maps, the enhancement of students’ academic success, and the needs in special education were discussed.
Kübra Kayaokay, Deputy Director of İPAM, who participated in the meeting, gave a presentation about the center’s establishment process in 2018, the projects carried out to date, the psychotherapy services provided, and the training programs organized.
Kayaokay stated that the center offers psychotherapy services in various fields such as individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and play therapy, and added that supportive training on issues like exam anxiety for students is also conducted.
Emphasizing that İPAM operates in cooperation with the Başakşehir Municipality as a university-affiliated center, Kayaokay noted that the center continues its efforts to raise social awareness with determination.
