The second session of the Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace Seminar, organized in collaboration with Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM) and the Human Resources Department, was held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Following the first session conducted in October, the program continued with an interactive and practice-oriented workshop led by Clinical Psychologist Ayşenur Bayraktar.
During the seminar, comprehensive discussions were carried out on the role of emotional intelligence in professional life. Various activities were implemented to help participants develop skills in recognizing and regulating their own emotions, as well as accurately interpreting the emotions of others. Practices such as expressing emotions through body language, emotion analysis, and group-based exercises encouraged active engagement throughout the training.
The program also explored communication approaches that strengthen collaboration, alongside constructive methods for navigating conflict. In addition, practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining emotional balance during periods of intense workload were shared. Through these insights, participants were introduced to techniques that can help them preserve inner stability and apply emotional awareness in their daily work routines.
The seminar further addressed essential emotional intelligence–based competencies required in modern work environments, including empathy, flexibility, adaptability, and effective feedback skills. Examples were used to demonstrate how these competencies contribute to organizational performance and team dynamics. Group discussions enabled participants to reflect on their own experiences and learn from one another.
The training concluded with a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and applied practice on the importance of emotional intelligence in working life. Feedback from participants indicated that the seminar made a meaningful contribution to improving communication, strengthening teamwork, and fostering healthier work habits within the organization.
