Highlighting Secondary Trauma: The Second Workshop of the PASS Project
The second workshop of the PASS (Participatory Symposium Addressing Secondary Trauma After Earthquake) Project, conducted by İbn Haldun University in collaboration with Hasan Kalyoncu University, has been successfully held.

The project aims to raise awareness of secondary trauma experienced by young professionals working in the field after the February 6 earthquakes, make their experiences visible, and increase societal awareness. Within this framework, the first workshop, hosted by İbn Haldun University from 6–8 July 2025, brought together over one hundred participants from various professional backgrounds and cities, during which potential solutions were developed. To communicate the findings to decision-makers and concretize implementation plans, the second workshop was held on 10 September 2025 at Ankara Social Sciences University, with participation from heads of departments from various ministries as well as NGO executives.

The PASS Project is supported by the Erasmus+ KA154 program through the European Union and the Turkish National Agency, and is coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Uysal, Director of İPAM.

During the workshop hosted by Ankara Social Sciences University on 10 September, the opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, Rector of İbn Haldun University, and Prof. Dr. Hakan Türkçapar, Vice-Rector of Ankara Social Sciences University.
