The “International Day” event, organized by Ibn Haldun University and bringing together students from different countries, was carried out through comprehensive programs addressing the themes of internationalization, cultural diversity, and belonging. Within the scope of the event, İPAM also participated with its stand, meeting with attendees and introducing its work and fields of activity.

As part of the program, one of our institution’s therapists, Yaqeen Sikander, took part as a speaker in the panel titled “Internationalization and Adaptation.” During the panel, discussions focused on cultural diversity, the importance of individuals being able to reconstruct their own stories from their own perspectives, and reclaiming their narratives. In addition, the contribution of university students’ engagement with different cultures, traveling, and multicultural experiences to individual development was discussed.

As part of the event, a talk titled “Islamic Psychology: Healing, Identity and Decolonial Perspectives” was also held. During the session, evaluations were shared regarding psychological healing processes, identity construction, and decolonial perspectives in the field of psychology.

The event, attended by many international students, also drew attention to the İPAM stand. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the work of our center and communicate directly with our therapists.
