On April 17, a seminar titled “Understanding Adolescence” was held at Palet Schools Çamlıca Campus. Conducted by Clinical Psychologist Esra Keçeci, the seminar comprehensively addressed the physical, emotional, and social aspects of adolescence.
During the seminar, students were informed about physical changes experienced during adolescence, emotional fluctuations, identity exploration, the individuation process, balancing family and peer relationships, adapting to the social environment, as well as topics related to the digital world and privacy. It was emphasized that this stage is a natural developmental process, and attention was drawn to the importance of properly understanding the changes young people experience.
Throughout the program, students’ questions regarding adolescence were addressed, and evaluations were made on how to manage emotional intensity during this period, how to develop healthy communication skills, and how to support self-confidence.
During the seminar, which was followed with great interest by the participants, valuable information was shared to help students better understand themselves, express their emotions in a healthy way, and build stronger relationships with those around them. In addition, it was highlighted that young people in the digital age should be able to protect their boundaries, act consciously in their use of social media, and develop awareness regarding privacy.
At the end of the program, students’ questions were answered, creating an interactive sharing environment. The productive seminar concluded by contributing to students’ awareness of their developmental stage.
