Under the auspices of the IHU IPAM Dār al-S̲h̲ifāʾ Psychotherapy Center, guided by the principle of “Tradition-based Innovation”—one of our university’s core values—we aim to preserve the Suleymaniye Waqf in its original form and implement the “Dār al-S̲h̲ifāʾ Waqf Model” in psychotherapy.

İPAM participated in the “International Day” event organized by Ibn Haldun University with a stand and panel contribution. As part of the event, Clinical Psychologist Yaqeen Sikander delivered a presentation in the “Internationalization and Adaptation” panel, discussing cultural diversity, belonging, and the reconstruction of individual narratives. Additionally, in the talk titled “Islamic Psychology: Healing, Identity and Decolonial Perspectives,” psychological healing processes, identity, and decolonial approaches were addressed. At the event, which attracted significant interest from international students, participants had the opportunity to learn about the work of İPAM.

Within the scope of the village school projects carried out by Ibn Haldun University Social Responsibility Club, the “Volunteering and Communication in Village Schools Training” was held for volunteer students. The program, organized in collaboration with IPAM, addressed topics such as establishing healthy communication with children, building trust relationships, privacy, approaches in crisis situations, and communication with children from different living conditions. Supported by interactive workshops and scenario-based practices, the training aimed to prepare volunteer students for the field both psychologically and practically.

Sessions organized with the contributions of IPAM as part of the Erasmus Staff Week addressed digital well-being, psychological resilience, and meaningful human connections from multiple perspectives.

The program titled “Emotion Workshop: Evaluating the Parenting Journey with Mothers,” organized by Başakşehir Genç İHH, was held on Saturday, May 2, at the Başakşehir İHH Representation Office. The workshop contributed to helping mothers gain awareness regarding their parenting processes.

Within the training program organized through the collaboration of REDAM and IPAM, the critical role of the MMPI inventory—one of the most important tools in psychological counseling processes—in clinical practice was addressed.

Organized in collaboration with the Human Resources Department of Ibn Haldun University and IPAM, the “Recognizing and Protecting Boundaries” training aimed to enhance employees’ work–life balance, boundary awareness, and emotional regulation skills.

Group Therapy Sessions Launched in Adıyaman as Part of a TÜBİTAK-Supported Project

The seminar, organized to raise awareness about adolescence, addressed topics such as identity development, emotional regulation, social relationships, and digital awareness. The program concluded as a productive gathering that contributed to students understanding themselves better and making sense of the changes they experience.

Designed for mental health professionals and students, this in-person training at Dār al-S̲h̲ifāʾ Psychotherapy Center offers flexible attendance options and opens the doors straight into the therapy room.

The second workshop of the PASS (Participatory Symposium Addressing Secondary Trauma After Earthquake) Project, conducted by İbn Haldun University in collaboration with Hasan Kalyoncu University, has been successfully held.

As İbn Haldun University Psychotherapy Practice and Research Center (İPAM), we came together with participants through our booth at the Etnospor Culture Festival held between May 22-25, 2025.

The Erasmus+ project titled “Participatory Symposium Addressing Secondary Trauma After Earthquake”, led by our faculty member and Director of İPAM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Uysal, has been selected for funding by the Turkish National Agency.

A seminar organized by İPAM and the Human Resources Department focused on healthy discussion methods. Kübra Kayaokay, Deputy Director of İPAM, provided information about the services offered by the institution and the ongoing projects. Family Counselor Belkıs Ertürk discussed the reasons for conflicts in marriage and introduced the "Emotion Wheel" tool, explaining how to manage emotions in a healthy way. The seminar provided valuable insights for participants on family communication and constructive discussion methods.

The "Coping with Challenging Life Experiences" Seminar was held in cooperation with Ibn Haldun University Human Resources Department and Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM). The event provided participants with scientific and practical information on coping with difficult life experiences and developing psychological resilience. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among the participants with effective presentations and interactive sessions presented by experts in their fields.

"Recognizing Limits and the Art of Saying No" training was organized by IPAM. During the training, participants were given practical information to develop these skills, emphasizing the importance of setting boundaries and being able to say no.

Dr. Şeyda Eruyar trained the participants on identifying sources of stress and stress management techniques such as breathing exercises. The seminar aimed to improve healthcare professionals' skills in coping with stress and received positive feedback from the participants.

Assoc. Prof., one of the supervisors of the Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM). Dr. Hasan Turan Karatepe gave an important seminar for healthcare professionals. In this seminar, a training on "Stress Management" was held in order to understand the stress factors faced by healthcare professionals and learn how to manage them.

The event, led by Expert Clinical Psychologist Dilruba Sönmez, gave important tips to 7th and 8th grade students about being more prepared for the exams.

Ibn Haldun University Psychotherapy Application and Research Center (IPAM) organized a seminar series to help young people cope with exam anxiety. The first seminar was held by IPAM Director and Expert Clinical Psychologist Dr. Submitted by Burcu Uysal. This seminar, which took place on May 8, 2024, was especially aimed at 11th and 12th grade students.
